"For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate." Romans 7:15
I say today's homeschooling was half productive in a way that half the time I was trying to be as patient with the little 2 yo, and at the same time concentrating on helping the 6 yo practice his reading, while the eldest one do his chore. After 30 minutes of that, I was trying my hardest to read them a book, but became too frustrated to continue because everyone kept moving around and couldn't stay still. I ended up stopping the whole reading time. It was just a day that wasn't going my way.
And honestly, I don't want to end this article with a sour note. I have to count my blessings. I am thankful for the things that came about. Each one found something to keep themselves busy with something, whether with a book, building blocks, activity math book. When they did, I didn't want to worry myself if they were getting something out of what they were doing. I actually was having joy from hearing my middle child count in 2s, 5s, and 10s for the very first time on his own. And then I found myself enjoying a small chit chat with the little one trying his best to tell a story from his past experience, in his cute way of speaking. Lastly, I was proud to see my eldest exploring his activity books and following the instructions without my assistance.
So, I guess it wasn't too bad after all!
